ESA service in Texas
Amu currently offers this service to adults 18 and older in Texas with dogs or cats, subject to clinician availability. Other states can join the availability waitlist.
Screening, payment, and clinical evaluation
Start the preliminary screening in your browser. If you meet our service criteria, create an account and pet profile, then pay once for your clinical evaluation: $159 for a decision within 2–3 business days, or $199 within 24 hours. Nothing renews.
Clinical intake, appointments and any clinician-issued ESA letter are handled through SimplePractice. Amu stores your account, pet profile, billing records, preliminary screening result and whether a clinician has issued a letter. Health answers are processed in your browser; clinical messages and documents stay in SimplePractice.
A licensed clinician makes an independent decision about whether ESA documentation is appropriate. Screening and payment do not guarantee a letter.
Housing requests are assessed individually
Documentation may support a request for a housing accommodation. Outcomes depend on applicable law and the circumstances; Amu does not guarantee acceptance or fee waivers.
An ESA letter does not provide service-animal access to public places or airlines. Ask a qualified professional about requirements for your situation.
