How Amu’s ESA process works

Start with preliminary screening

Amu serves adults 18 and older in Texas with dogs or cats. The preliminary survey checks our service criteria in your browser. It does not diagnose a condition or determine whether you need an ESA.

Create an account and review the plan

If you continue, Amu creates your pet’s basic profile and saves the preliminary result, not the health answers. A passing result lets you pay once for a clinical evaluation, from $159, with no subscription. Refund requests are available within 30 days of the initial purchase under our Terms.

Meet with a clinician

After payment, use SimplePractice for clinical intake and appointment requests. The practice confirms appointments; the clinician independently decides whether a letter is appropriate. Payment does not guarantee documentation or a delivery date.
